The Fourth International Nuclear Power Operations and Maintenance Conference (INPOM2017) will be held from September 14 to 15, 2017, at the Shanghai Marriott Hotel Hongqiao. The conference is hosted by the Shanghai Nuclear Power Office and co-organized by EDF, Qinshan Nuclear Power, China Nuclear Power Operation Service Technology Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Nuclear Power Associated Industry Association, and Zhejiang Hongwei Supply Chain Group Co., Ltd., with Shanghai Yingzhi Business Consulting Co., Ltd. as the organizer, receiving strong support from Bruce Power of Canada. Zhejiang Lunte Electromechanical Co., Ltd. will participate in this event and showcase nuclear power products at Booth 8. New and old friends are welcome to visit.
As of the date of this release, there are 37 operational units in China, with 20 units under construction. This year, it is expected that four new units will enter commercial operation (Huaneng Shandong Shidao Bay Nuclear Power Unit 1, Sanmen Nuclear Power Unit 1, Shandong Haiyang Nuclear Power Unit 1, and Jiangsu Tianwan Unit 3). By 2020, it is anticipated that more than 50 units will be operational simultaneously, and the nuclear power operation and maintenance market is booming, presenting significant business opportunities and challenges.
Notably, the conference has invited Mr. Hyojin Kim (Deputy Director) from the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) to share the challenges faced during the operation and maintenance of newly operational nuclear power plants. Previously, WANO's proposal to establish a Shanghai center was unanimously approved by the board, and with the support of various government levels and nuclear industry associations, the WANO Shanghai Center is expected to be officially launched after approval at the member conference in October. This will also promote the development of domestic operation and maintenance services for in-service power plants. High-profile attendees will include the maintenance director of EDF, senior vice president of Areva Group in China, CEO of the Romanian Nuclear Power Plant, CEO of Hanvit Power in South Korea, and the general manager of KPS from South Korea. Domestic nuclear power plants (such as Fangchenggang, Changjiang in Hainan, Fangjiashan, Daya Bay, Yangjiang, Fuzhou, Taishan, etc.) have scheduled major repairs or commissioning tasks in September, yet this does not dampen the enthusiasm of nuclear power maintenance personnel, with 90% of operational plants and operators confirming their participation.
During the two-day conference, the first day will focus on "Summary of Domestic and International Nuclear Power Operation and Maintenance Experiences and Technical Innovations," with presentations from the Shanghai Nuclear Power Office, WANO, China General Nuclear Power Group, and China National Nuclear Corporation. On the second morning, there will be seven thematic seminars covering topics such as valve maintenance, spare parts procurement and management, turbine maintenance and power plant upgrades, nuclear safety management and radiation protection, in-service inspection and non-destructive testing, electrical and instrumentation maintenance, and pump maintenance. Representatives from various nuclear power plants, maintenance units, and research design institutes will share their experiences. In the afternoon of the second day, in addition to organizing "supply and demand matching" and "salon discussions" for attendees, the organizing committee will arrange visits to the experimental base of China Nuclear Power Operation Service Technology Co., Ltd. (Qingpu) and the 3M China Fall Protection Training Center to enrich the conference schedule.
The "International Nuclear Power Operations and Maintenance Conference" boasts a strong lineup and has become a premier global event for nuclear power operation and maintenance experts. For more details, please contact the conference organizing committee:
